To enable students to gain a high level of expertise in specific subject areas, from embedded circuit systems to sensors and devices, BSEE students select one of 14 concentration areas, each of which culminates with a significant capstone design project. Although only one concentration area is required, students may complete more than one.
Students may also choose the Nanoscience and Molecular Engineering (NME) Option. Students who select this option are required to complete six credits of NME core courses and the Sensors and Devices concentration.
Not an EE major?
Non-EE students may be able to enroll in UW EE courses on a space available basis. See the Non-Degree section for more information.
UW EE courses have received accreditation from ABET, which establishes quality standards for university engineering programs.
